Our Approach
A strong skills training program is vital to guarantee that students can learn and excel in the necessary techniques and skills required to ace any assessment. In order to accomplish this, a good training programme should include the following features:
- A diagnostic tool to help identify student's cognitive weaknesses.
- A customisable skills enhancement program to fill in those cognitive gaps, so the student will be better equipped to handle assessment questions.
- Reliable teaching methods that focus on developing cognitive skills to manage any type of assessment questions.
Our Teaching Philosophy
Teaching and learning should focus on the process of thinking
Are we focusing on the wrong thing when it comes to student success? Results-oriented thinking won't change anything - we can only improve outcomes by changing the way we think. We cannot improve the quality of our thoughts if we do not first improve the way we think.
Here at EDUCATING FUTURE NOW, we believe students need to learn to understand their thought processes and master the skills to control those thought processes. This will ensure that they can understand what they are doing when they answer any assessment questions. We need to focus on helping students develop these higher-order thinking skills so that they can be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
Teach to Last; Learn for Life
If we believe in lifelong learning, shouldn't teaching aim to prepare one for a lifetime of learning? Here, we believe in preparing students to think on their own, so that they can continue to learn throughout their lifetime.
Reflective Teaching and Learning
We need to constantly think about how we teach and learn to enhance the process of learning. An effective learner is someone who spends quality time thinking about his or her own assumptions, and asking how one arrives at his or her own conclusion.
Our Teaching Methodology
Critical Thinking
We believe in the importance of critical thinking. Hence, our students will learn thinking skills that help them to diagnose their own thought processes, with the aim of improving their cognitive performance. We guide our students to analyse information in a critical manner and make arguments that are persuasive.
Questioning Techniques
Socratic questioning techniques are used to deepen students' thinking processes so that they become aware of how they think and how they reason.
