Dr Bryan Lee is a highly experienced educator, who has spent over 20 years teaching Humanities subjects such as Social Studies and History at the Secondary level. He held senior positions in education, including Head of Department for Humanities at a Singaporean secondary school. In addition, he had designed and conducted workshops on critical thinking for both students and teachers.

Dr Lee has extensive experience coaching and guiding students at the 'N' and 'O' levels. His teaching approach emphasizes deep learning, and effective thinking routines.

Dr Lee not only excels in the teaching of Social Studies and History; he is just as competent in the teaching of Critical Thinking. His work was appraised as "original" when he presented it at a Critical Thinking Conference in United States in 2016. Currently, Dr Lee is an Associate Lecturer at a local polytechnic where he specializes in the teaching of Critical Thinking skills.


Dr Lee's professional interests include Social Studies and History education, curriculum design and development, critical thinking and qualitative research.

He had the pleasure of presenting at various national and international conferences over the years. Some of these conferences include:
  • 2 presentations at the Redesigning Pedagogy International Conference, Singapore, 2017.
  • 1 presentation at the 36th International Conference on Critical Thinking and Educational Reform, USA, 2016.
  • 1 Team presentation at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP) Conference, 2007.
  • 1 presentation at the Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) Conference, 2006.
